Our team of transport specialists supported Amazon, with the expansion of their UK portfolios. We provided expert advice in site selection and due diligence, working through to support subsequent planning submissions.

Our in depth of knowledge of the sector was of particular note due to the bespoke nature of logistics operations, where shift patterns and vehicle movements do not conform to the typical patterns observed on the surrounding highway networks.

We worked closely with the project team to provide input into the critical design parameters, including access for the different user groups to forecast employee parking provision at the time of shift-change over, which was crucial in delivering an efficient site in terms of land take and viability. To address concerns raised regarding traffic impact, management plans were developed to minimise impacts on the surrounding highway networks, whilst ensuring continuity of service for the operators.
