- Identified and established the proposed vehicle routing through the site and hours of operation;
- Identified potential conflict points and rights of way;
- Illustrated the impact on the internal and external operation of the site through the preparation of network diagrams and swept path analysis;
- Identified a base case and worst-case scenario for the traffic movements based on the capacity of the site to process various chemicals and raw materials;
- Reviewed the accident logs and near misses logs to determine areas of safety concerns
- Provided a review of the internal safety procedures
- Outlined a set of recommendations regarding internal vehicle management of the site, over arching safety strategy and an improvements scheme.
Following the conclusion of the work and presentation to H&S executives, ‘ttc’ are currently helping DFDS to install and implement a number of the recommendations provided from the report.
