Andrew Hughes is an Associate at ttc, who leads our Bristol office. He is driven and forward thinking, with 15 years industry experience, in-depth regional knowledge and a strong network.
Andrew is instrumental in supporting our Bristol, Wales & South West clients. With both a BA (Hons) and MA from the University of Liverpool, Andrew blends strong academic knowledge with a practical, solutions-led approach to transport planning.
Having started his career as an Air Quality Consultant before moving into transport planning with Savell Bird and Axon in London. He later joined an independent startup, TTP, where he focused on the London region before taking on wider responsibilities across the London, Bristol, and Cardiff offices at WYG. Most recently, Andrew played a key role in setting up a Bristol office for TTP Consulting before making the move to ttc.
One of Andrew’s proudest projects is his work on the Mynydd Isa Campus in Flintshire. Supporting client WEPCo, he delivered a comprehensive Transport Assessment and Travel Plan with full backing from Flintshire Highways. The scheme successfully integrated a much-improved pick-up and drop-off area to better support the school community. Other notable projects Andrew has worked on include, New Covent Garden Market – London, Bridgend West Primary Schools in Wales and Filwood Broadway in Bristol.
Along with his experience, Andrew brings a dynamic and problem-solving mindset to every project. Clients can expect honest, technical, and robust advice, always aimed at achieving the best possible outcomes.
