Gary Lumby MBE FCIBS joins The Transportation Consultancy

In a move to strategically bolster its business growth and development, The Transportation Consultancy (ttc) is delighted to announce that Gary Lumby MBE FCIBS, joins the team as a Non-Executive Director. Gary brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in the banking and SME sectors, making him an invaluable asset to the ttc team.

Joining in 2024, Gary serves as a Non-Executive Director and business coach to the Board. His primary role at ttc involves providing high-level strategic advice, mentoring the leadership team, and leveraging his extensive network to open new avenues for business development. His involvement is set to drive significant advancements in ttc’s operational strategies and market positioning in Transportation Planning.

George Bailes, CEO of ttc, first encountered Gary’s expertise and passion for SME support during the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses course, where Gary served as the groups Growth Mentor.

Gary had numerous roles and positions over his flourishing and rewarding career, starting at Barclays Bank in 1976, and serving as UK Director of SME Banking for Yorkshire Bank and Clydesdale Bank by 2011. Currently, Gary runs Focus on Success, an organisation dedicated to providing non-executive directors to SMEs. His extensive experience with both small and large businesses gives him a unique perspective on the challenges faced by SMEs, allowing him to offer tailored support to improve business performance and profitability.
