Our team provided design services for developing proposals for improvements to the public realm within the town centre at Shepshed in Leicestershire.

Shepshed is subject to significant housing growth over the next 10 years. Our team worked with Charnwood Borough Council to develop proposals for improving the attraction of the town centre area, through public realm improvements.

Design proposals for three main areas of the town were developed to provide an attractive and welcoming environment for pedestrians, whilst providing opportunities for local businesses to be accessed by servicing vehicles, and provide space for the local market to operate within the town. The proposals include widened footways, improve landscaping, street furniture, landscaping and more street trees, gained overwhelming support and were developed into a detailed package for construction.
